Spiritual growth is a process. It takes time. While becoming a Christian occurs the moment we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, growing as a Christian will be taking place more and more, as we grow and increase in Christlikeness on a daily basis.

To grow you must give yourself to these four things:

  1. Spend time reading and studying God's Word.

  2. Spend time daily in prayer. Practice the presence of God by speaking to Him often as your Father.

  3. Attend a local church and hear God's Word through an anointed pastor, and others called to the ministry.

  4. Apply yourself to what you learn from God's Word daily.

In our next article, we will examine spiritual growth more closely.
